why did you take cos 60 its 30 right?
because its given in the question that sin(theta)+cos(2theta) , and by simple maths if we put the value of theta in the equation given in the question then it becomes cos60 . i hope you understand this.
it is cos square theta but not 2theta
then ans is 5/4
then you have to mention it as superscript in the question .
because it is clearly seen that it looks like cos2theta
