Question

  • If three angles of a triangle are in the ratio 1:2:6,find the largest and the smallest angles what type of triangle is it?

Answer

  • Largest angle = 120°
  • Smallest angle= 20°
  • The Triangle is Scalene Triangle

Given

  • Angles are in ratio = 1:2:6

To Calculate

  • Largest and smallest angles
  • Which type of triangle?

Explanation

Angles are in ratio = 1:2:6 ( Given)

Let angles are 1x , 2x , 6x

We know that,

Sum of all angles of a triangle = 180

⇝ 1x +2x+6x = 180

⇝ 9x = 180

⇝ x= 180/9

⇝ x= 20

Angles are :-

1x = 1×20 = 20°

2x= 2×20= 40°

6x = 6×20 = 120°

\bf\underline{\underline{\blue{HENCE:-}}}

  • Largest angle = 120°
  • Smallest angle = 20°

  • The triangle is Scalene Triangle
