Answer :
Let the three resistances be R₁ , R₂ and R₃ .
Let the equivalent resistance be R .
R = R₁ + R₂ + R₃
Proof :
We know that V = I R
V = V₁ + V₂ + V₃
This is because the voltage gets divided .
= > I R = IR₁ + IR₂ + IR₃
= > I R = I ( R₁ + R₂ + R₃ )
= > R = R₁ + R₂ + R₃
The current remains same in circuit .
