Given info : the time taken by a pendulum to complete 20 vibrations is 60.60s

To find : the time period of the pendulum is upto appropriate significant figures is...

solution : time period is the time taken by a pendulum to complete one revolution.

if a pendulum completes N number of vibrations in t seconds then time period of that pendulum will be.. T = t/N

here, no of vibrations , N = 20

time taken , t = 60.60 s

so the time period , T = 60.60/20 = 3.03 sec

least significant figures is 2 ( of 20) in the expression 60.60/20 . so the resultant must be in the 2 significant figures.

therefore the time period of the pendulum is 3.0 s
