Side BC is smallest and AB is the largest.

GIVEN

Triangle ABC, angle A=30 degree and angle B=60 degree.

TO FIND

The shortest side and longest side of the triangle

SOLUTION

The above problem can be simply solved as follows;

Angles of the triangles are as follows;

∠A = 30°

∠B = 60°

∠C = 180 - (∠A + ∠B)

∠C = 180 - (90)

∠C = 90°

Now,

∠A < ∠B < ∠C

∠C is the greatest angle and ∠A is the smallest.

Since, The side opposite to greater angle is larger and the side opposite to smallest angle is smallest

Therefore,

BC < AC < AB

Hence, Side BC is smallest and AB is the largest.
