according to Pythagoras theorem

ac²= ab²+bc²

6²=ab²+bc²

36=x²+x²(let sides be x and ab=bc)

36=2x²

36/2=x²

18=x²

x=√18

x=√3*3*2

x=3√2

sides are 3√2

ab = bc=3√2

hyp²=sum of the squares of other tow sides

ac²=ab²+bc²

6²=[3√2]²+[3√2]²
