If triangle and parallelogram are on the same base and between the same parallel then the area of triangle is equal to half of the Area of parallelogram​

In Triangle ADC and Triangle ABC,

(I) AD = BC ( Opposite sides of a parallelogram are equal)

(II) DC = AB ( Opposite sides of a Parallelogram are equal and parallel)

(III) Angle ADC = Angle ABC

(Opposite angles in a Parallelogram are equal)

So both triangles are congruent by SAS congruence rule.

Therefore The area of triangle is half the area of a Parallelogram.
