sum of adjacent angles is always 180
5x-5+10x+35=180
15x+30=180
15x=150
x=10
angles = 5x-5, 10x+35
======》 5*10-5, 10*10+35
======》45,135
ratio = 45/135
=====》1:3

Answer:

The ratio of the angles is 1 : 3

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1:

Adjacent angles added up gives 180 degrees.

First angle = 5 x - 5

Second angle = 10 x + 35

Step 2:

Now we will add them:

5 x - 5 + 10 x + 35

= 15 x + 30

Step 3:

The sum of angles = 180

15 x + 30° = 180°

=> 15 x = 150°

=> x = 150°/15°

=> x = 10°

Step 4:

Sides are 5.10-5

= 45

Side = 10.10 + 35

= 135

Ratio = 45 : 135

= 1 : 3
