We have AB || CD and AC as the transversal,

= angle ABC + angle angle DCB = 180° [Co-interior angles are Supplementary]

= ABC + DCB = 180°

From ----(1)

= ABC + ABC = 180°

= 2 ABC = 180°

= ABC = 90°

Since in a parallelogram opposite angles are equal and according to the question adjacent angles are equal

So , all angles are equal to 90°

Since in a parallelogram opposite sides are equal and we have proved that all the angles are 90° .

So , such a parallelogram is called a Rectangle.
