GIVEN :-

  • Two adjacent sides of parallelogram are 12 cm and 8 cm.

TO FIND :-

  • The perimeter of parallelogram.

SOLUTION :-

Perimeter of parallelogram = 2(sum of adjacent sides)

2(12 + 8)

2 × 20 cm

40 cm.

Hence the perimeter of parallelogram is 40 cm.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :-

Perimeter of parallelogram = 2(a + b)

Area of parallelogram = Base × height

Opposite Sides of parallelogram are equal.

Opposite angles of parallelogram are equal

✴ The two adjacent sides of a parallelogram are 12cm & 8cm.

We know, that

The perimeter of a figure is the measure boundary of the figures .

A parallelogram is a quaudilateral whose opposite sides are || & equal to each other.

When two of the sides that meet at a vertex of the polygon are called adjacent sides.

Perimeter of parallelogram = 2 × (l+b)

Taking , l = 12cm & b = 8cm

⭐ 2 × (l+b)

▶ 2(12 + 8)

▶ 2 × 20 cm

▶ 40 cm.

So, the perimeter of parallelogram is 40 cm.
