Step-by-step explanation:

sin^2 a + sin^2 b

sin^2 ( a+b)

since alpha and beta are complementary angles their sum should be 90°

sin^2(90°)

=1 = R.H.S

therefore

sin^2 a + sin^2 b = 1

hope it helps you buddy
