Answer:

let smaller angle = x°

therefore greater angle will be = (4x+5)°

We know that supplementary =180°

so

x+4x+5=180°

5x=180-5

5x=175

x= 175÷5

x=3

so the angle is (x)= 35°

therefore greater angle will be = 4x+5=4×35+5

=140+ 5 =145

so smaller angle=35°

and grater angle will be = 145°

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

>>  Supplementary angles means the sum of two angles should be 180degree.

>> Here,

                  one angle(say x) is 5 degree more than 4 times the other(say y)

>> we can say,

                 x = 4y + 5   ( ...i)

>> As these angles are supplementary

     So,

                    x  +  y  =  180

                    4y + 5 + y  =  180

                    5( y + 1 )  =  180

                    y  + 1  = 36

                    y   = 35

>> Hence,

                  Both the angles are 35 degree and 145 degree.
