Given :

Two complementary angle are such that two times the measure of one is equal to three times the measure of the other

To Find :

Measure of larger angle

Solution :

Let complementary angles be  " x " , " 90 - x "

Two complementary angle are such that two times the measure of one is equal to three times the measure of the other .

⇒ 2x = 3( 90 - x )

⇒ 2x = 270 - 3x

⇒ 2x + 3x = 270

⇒ 5x = 270

x = 54  \purple{\bigstar}

Angles are ,

→  x = 54°

→  90 - x = 90 - 54 = 36°

So , Measure of larger angle = 54°

Answer:

Given

\leadsto If two complementary angle are such that two times the measure of one is equal to three times the measure of the other.

To Find

\leadsto What is the measure of larger angle.

Solution

Let the measure of one angle be x

Then, the measure of complement = 90° - x

According to the question,

\mapsto 2x = 3(90° - x)

\implies 2x = 270° - 3x

\implies 2x + 3x = 270°

\implies 5x = 270°

\implies x = \dfrac{270°}{5}

\implies x = 54°

\implies 90° - x = 90° - 54° = 36°

\therefore The measure of larger angle is 54°.
