Slant height of 1st cone= l

Slant height of 2nd cone=L

Their ratios are= l/L =5:3

Therefore L=3×l/5.............(1)

CSA of 1st cone = πrl

CSA of 2nd cone =πrL

Since π and radius are equal and common

Therefore ,. l/L is remaining

= l/L....(2)

By substituting 1 in 2 , we get

=l/3×l/5

There fore ,= 5/3 so the curved surface area of two cones are also in== 5:3
