Explanation:

GIVEN :-

Two forces F₁ = 3 N and F₂ = 7 N act on a body in opposite direction.

TO FIND :-

The net force acting on the body ( Fₙₑₜ )

SOLUTION :-

Here , the forces are not equal. So these are unbalanced forces , Because the net force will not be equal to zero . As we know that, for net Force acting in the body is given by,

➳ Fₙₑₜ = (F₁ →) + (F₂ ←)

➳ Fₙₑₜ = F₂ - F₁

➳ Fₙₑₜ = 7 N - 3 N

➳ Fₙₑₜ = 4 N. [ Fₙₑₜ ≠ 0 ]

Hence the net force acting on the body ( Fₙₑₜ ) is 4 N.
