Answer:

4N

Explanation:

when two forces are acting oppositely on a body

then the net force is equal to the difference

between the two forces where net force is equal

to or less than '0' Nd the difference is less than

either of the individual forces.

Here, F1=3N. F2=7N

Fnet=F2-F1

Fnet=7N-3N

Fnet=4N

4N greater than zero and less than either one of

the individual forces.

GIVEN :-

  • Two forces F₁ = 3 N and F₂ = 7 N act on a body in opposite direction.

TO FIND :-

  • The net force acting on the body ( Fₙₑₜ )

SOLUTION :-

Here , the forces are not equal. So these are unbalanced forces , Because the net force will not be equal to zero . As we know that, for net Force acting in the body is given by,

➳ Fₙₑₜ = (F₁ →) + (F₂ ←)

➳ Fₙₑₜ = F₂ - F₁

➳ Fₙₑₜ = 7 N - 3 N

➳ Fₙₑₜ = 4 N. [ Fₙₑₜ ≠ 0 ]

Hence the net force acting on the body ( Fₙₑₜ ) is 4 N.
