Let first term of both gps be a and b respectively . now nth term will be

 = a {r}^{n - 1}  \:  \:  \: and \:  \:  \: b {r}^{n - 1}

so ratio

 =  \frac{a \:  {r}^{n - 1} }{b \: {r}^{n - 1} }  =  \frac{a}{b}

So ratio is independent of n and only depends on first term .
