If two identical bulbs are connected in series will they operate independently? explain

No they will operate as a whole because the resistors when connected in a series combination get equal voltage between them and if one fails other will also fail..

Reason : in series if bulb is connected it does not operate independently

             because if one part of the series circuit gets damaged then the whole

             whole circuit gets damage as they are depend on each other .

in such case parallel connection bulb operated independently ..........
