if two masses m1 and m2 are connected by a spring of spring constant k. a constant force F acts on block of mass m1 these are placed on a smooth floor.Find the maximum  extension  of the spring ?

Since there is no friction and spring is also ideal one which obey's hooke's law
i calculated that max. extension is
 \frac{F}{k}( \frac{m_2}{m_1+m_2} )
