The two numbers are :

  • The first number = 65.
  • The second number = 26.

Given :

  • The ratio of two numbers = 5 : 2.
  • The sum of both numbers = 91.

To Find :

  • The both numbers.

Solution :

Let,

The first number be 5x.

The second number be 2x.

According to the question,

The sum of both numbers is 91.

That means,

First number + Second number = 91

⇒ 5x + 2x = 91

⇒ 7x = 91

⇒ x = 91 / 7

⇒ x = 13

So, the two numbers are :

★ The first number.

⇒ 5x

⇒ 5 ( 13 )

⇒ 5 × 13

⇒ 65

★ The second number.

⇒ 2x

⇒ 2 ( 13 )

⇒ 2 × 13

⇒ 26

Hence,

The two numbers are 65 and 26.
