Step-by-step explanation:

Original no = 5:6

After subtracting by 8 = 5x - 8:6x - 8

No. becomes = 4:5

No = ??

5x - 8:6x - 8 = 4:5

5(5x - 8) = 4(6x - 8 )

25x - 40 = 24x - 32

25x - 24x = -32 + 40

x = 8

Therefore , the no. are => 5 * 8 = 40

                                        => 6 * 8 = 48
