Given:

  • Two objects of 45 kg and 47 kg.
  • Gravitational force: 250 × 10^-7 N.

To Find:

Distance between their centres.

Solution:

Here we used the formula of Fg.

\sf\ Fg :- G m1m2/r^2

\sf\ r^2 :- Gm1m2/Fg

= \sf\Large\ \frac{6.67×10^-11×45×47}{250×10^-7}

= \sf\Large\ \frac{6.67×45×47×10^-11+7}{250}

= \sf\Large\ \frac{14,107.05×10^-4}{250}

= \sf\ 56.4282 ×10^-4

\sf\ r^2 = \sqrt{56.4282×10^-4}

\sf\ = 7.5×10^-2m \:(approx)

  • Gravitational force is a natural phenomenon by which physical bodies attract with a force proportional to their mass.
  • The mathematical formula for gravitational force is F=GMmr2 F = G Mm r 2 where G is the gravitational constant.
