"If two opposite sides of a quadrilateral are equal and parallel then it is a rectangle." Is this statement true? Explain.

Yes .This statement is true,but not in every cases.In a parallelogram the two opposite sides are equal and parallel.But it is not a rectangle.In square also two opposite sides are equal.

Yes this statement is very true. Because in rectangle parallel sides are equal and in the statement it is also given that opposite sides of a quadrilateral are equal and parallel.Hence it is a rectangle .
