Given:-

Two perpendicular sides of a right-angled triangle are 5 cm and 12 cm

To find:-

Perimeter of triangle

Solution:-

Let us assume that, hypotenuse of the right angled Δ is x cm.

So using pythagoras theorem we get,

⇒ x²=5²+12²

⇒ x²=25+144

⇒ x²= 169

⇒ x²= 13²

⇒ x= 13cm

Therefore, 3rd side is 13 cm.

Now we will find perimeter

⇒ Perimeter of a triangle= sum of all sides

⇒ Required Perimeter=5cm+12cm+13cm

⇒ Required Perimeter=30cm

Therefore, the perimeter is 30 cm.
