Given :- two perpendicular side of a right angle triangle are 5 cm and 12 cm

To Find :- Perimeter = ?

Solution :-

Let us assume that, hypotenuse of the right angled ∆ is x cm .

so, using pythagoras theorem we get,

→ x² = 5² + 12²

→ x² = 25 + 144

→ x² = 169

→ x² = (13)²

→ x = 13 cm .

then,

→ perimeter of ∆ = Sum of all sides

→ Required perimeter = 5 + 12 + 13

→ Required perimeter = 30 cm (Ans.D)

Hence, perimeter of given right angled triangle is 30 cm .
