Since it a right angled triangle, and as the two perpendicular sides are in the ratio of 3:4, the third sides needs to be proportional to 5.

As in a right angled triangle,

Hypotenuse^2 = base^2 + perpendicular^2

Therefore, the sides are in the ratio of

3 : 4 : 5

Sum of the ratios = 3 +4 +5 = 12

Perimeter of triangle = 96 cm

Therefore the sides are = (96*3/12), (96*4/12), (96*5/12) = 24 cm,32, cm and 40 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

a+b+5=12a+b=7

⇒a=7−b...(1)a 2+b 2 =5 2 2 +b 2

From (1) and (2)(7−b) 2+b 2

=2549+b 2−14b+b 2

=252b 2−14b+24

=0b 2 −7b+12=0(b−4)(b−3)=0⇒

b=4,3a

=7−b

⇒a=3,4

Area= 21×4×3=6sq. units
