HCF(Highest common factor):−(Also called as GCD)HCF of two

numbers is then umber which comletely divides(with 0 remainder)

both then numbers.For example,HCF of 14 and 21 is 7,HCF(54,27)is 27.

Given a=x 3 y 2 ,b=xy 3

It can be observed that xy 2

is a common factor of both a and b.

Hence HCF (a,b)=xy 2.

Correct option is B xy2
