☢️GIVEN☢️

  • a = q³
  • b = pq³

☢️TO FIND☢️

  • HCF of (a,b) is = ?

☢️SOLUTION☢️

Step 1: Find the prime factorisation of all the no.

so,

a =

= p×p×q×q×q

b = pq³

= q×q×q

Step 2: Factor out the common and the product of all the common prime factor is the HCF

So,

Common factors are = q×q×q

= pq³

Thus,

HCF(a,b) = pq³

Hence, HCF(a,b) will be pq³
