Solution:

As, the resistance are connected in series

so, R = R1+R2

R =16 + 14 = 30Ω

Now according to Ohm's law,

v = I R

⟹ I= R/V

⟹ I = 30/ 18

⟹ I = 1.66A

So, 1.66A of current flow through circuit.
