Answer:

answer is 14 ohm

Explanation:

2 Resistor is of 28 ohm and it is in parallel combination that means we have to add the reciprocal of the two resistance

1/28+ 1/28= 1+1/28 =2/28=1/14 and resistance is 14 ohm

Given:

if two resistors of 28 ohms are connected in parallel

To Find:

their equivalent resistance is

Solution:

When two resistors are connected in parallel then both terminals are connected to the respective same terminals of each other. It is also known as current dividers and current has many paths to flow through. Parallel resistors have the same voltage among each of them.

If there are n number of resistors connected with values R1, R2,..., Rn then the formula for Total resistance is,

\frac{1}{R_t} =\frac{1}{R_1} +\frac{1}{R_2} +...\frac{1}{R_n}

Now we are given two resistors of 28 ohms each connected in parallel then their equivalent resistance will be,

\frac{1}{R} =\frac{1}{28} +\frac{1}{28} \\\frac{1}{R} =\frac{2}{28} \\R=14ohm

Hence, the equivalent resistance is 14ohms.
