Answer:

1/R= 1/R1 + 1/R2

= 1/10 + 1/10

by taking Lcm

= 2/20

1/R= 1/10

so , R= 10 ohms when resistance is in parallel

Given,

Value of two equal resistance = 10Ω

To find,

The value of the effective resistance if the two equal resistance are connected in parallel.

Solution,

We can easily solve this numerical problem by the following process.

Formula for calculating the effective resistance when the circuit is parallel.

1/Re = 1/R1 + 1/R2

1/Re = 1/10 + 1/10

1/Re = (1+1)/10

1/Re = 2/10

1/Re = 1/5

Re = 5Ω

(Here, Re stands for Effective resistance and R1,R2 are two values of the initial resistance.)

Hence, the effective resistance will be 5Ω
