If two sides and median bisecting one of these side of a triangle are equal respectively to the two sides and the median bisecting one of these sides of another triangle, prove that two triangles are congruent.

draw triangle abc draw median at d from point b

and triangle pqr median at s from point q

ad =dc=ac/2

ps=sr=pr/2

to show....

triangle abc congruence to trianglepqr

ab/pq=ac/pr = equation 1

use sas axiom

angle a = angle p

ad=ac/2 and ps=pr/2

ad/ps=ac/pr=r

from equation 1 we have

..... ab/pq=ap/ps=bd/qs

by sss axiom we get ,

....triangle abd similar to triangle pqr

angle a = angle p = equation 2

from equation 1 and 2

triangle abc similar to triangle (sas)

hence proved
