Given :

  • If two sides of a triangle are 14 cm and 12 cm and semi perimeter is 21 cm

To find :

  • then third side of the triangle

Solution :

According to the question ,

\boxed {\blue{\sf{Semi-perimeter  \: (s)  \:  = \:\dfrac { a + b + c}{2}}}} \\  \\ \implies \sf{ 21 =  \dfrac{14 + 12 + c}{2}} \\  \\   \implies\sf{42 = 26 + c} \\  \\   \implies\sf{c = 42 - 26} \\  \\   \implies\sf{c = 16cm} \\ \\ \therefore \sf \large\underline\red{Third \:side \:of \:the \: triangle \: is \: 16 \: cm}

Extra information :

  • Volume of cylinder = πr²h
  • T.S.A of cylinder = 2πrh + 2πr²
  • Volume of cone = ⅓ πr²h
  • C.S.A of cone = πrl
  • T.S.A of cone = πrl + πr²
  • Volume of cuboid = l × b × h
  • C.S.A of cuboid = 2(l + b)h
  • T.S.A of cuboid = 2(lb + bh + lh)
