If two sides of a triangle are 8 cm and 13 cm,
then the length of the third side is between

Let the length of the third side be x

Length of the third side is between a and b such that  a <b

So     b > x > a -----------------(1)

Length of the other sides are 8cm. And 13cm.

We know that

Sum of any two sides is greater then third side.

So  13  + 8 >  x

    21 > x -----------------------------'(2)

Difference of any two sides is less than the third side.

13 - 8<  X

5 < x  -------------------------------(3)

From equation no 2 and 3

21  >  x  >  5  ----------------------- (4)

From equation no 1 and 4 comprcomparing them.

We get

b  = 21    and   a  =  5
