as we know that sum of two sides of a triangle is grater than 3rd side and difference of two sides is less than two sides

let x be the side if triangle

5+7 = 12 >x

7-5 = 2 <x

12> x < 2

all the possible values of x are 11 , 10 , 9 ,8 ,7 ,6 ,5 ,4 , 3

so the largest value of the side is 11
