Let we take the greater side as the base .: Base = B = 6 cm

[As you know that the 2 sides are equal in isosceles triangle]

Now Sides of  the triangle = 5 cm , 5cm

Now the height of the triangle can be solved by pythagoras theorem

hypo^2 = height^2 + Base^2

here base = 6 for whole triangle , But we are talking about half triangle

Now base = 3 cm or 6/2 = 3 cm

Putting the values in formula

5^2 = height^2 + 3^2

25 = h^2 + 9

25 - 9 = h^2

16 = h^2

height = 4cm
