by using Pythagoras theorem,

hypotenuse square =side square + side square .

other side=

\begin{gathered} \sqrt{ {3}^{2} + {4}^{2} } \\ = \sqrt{9 + 16 } \\ = \sqrt{25} \\ = 5\end{gathered}
