If two solid hemispheres of same base radius r are joined together along their bases, then find the total surface area of this new solid

When these 2 hemishperes of radius 'r' will be joined together then we will get a complete sphere of radius'r'.

The TSA of this new sphere= 4πr²

i.e. 2πr²+2πr²
