constants of them are 2.5 N/m and 1.6 N/m respectively. The mass of
the body attached with this combination is 0.5 g. Calculate the time
period of this oscillation.

The equivalent force constant of the system is given as 

k1=k11+k21

k=k1+k2k1k2

Total extension in the equivalent spring =x=x1+x2

Force in the equivalent spring = F=kx=k1+k2k1k2(x1+x2)
