If two straight lines are perpendicular to same line prove that they are parallel to each other

by alternate interior and exterior , corresponding angles

This must be true as the angle formed by say line l1 will be 90 to the common line say lc

And also the angle formed by l2 on lc is 90 degree.

This means that by alternate interior angles , we have that lines l1 and l2 are parallel.
