find length of each tangent?

Answer:

Let PA and PB be the two tangents to a circle with centre O and radius 3

∴∠APO=∠BPO

= ½ ×∠APB

= ½×60°

= 30°

Also, OA⊥AP and OB⊥BP

In a right angled triangle OAP,

tan30°= 3/ P A

⇒ 1 /√3 = 3/PP

⇒PA=3 √3cm

⇒PA=PB=3 √3cm
