If two tangents are inclined at 60˚ are drawn to a circle of radius 3cm then

find length of each tangent.​

Answer:

Let PA and PB be the two tangents to a circle with centre 0 and radius 3 centimetre .

hence, Angle APO = Angle BPO

= 1/2 × APB

=. 1/2 × 60°

= 30°

Also , OA perpendicular AP

OB perpendicular BP .

tan 30° = 3 / PA

= 1 /√3 = 3 / PA .

= PA = 3√3 cm .

= PA = PB = 3√3 cm .
