If two tangents inclined at an angle 60° are drawn to a circle of radius 7 cm, then what is the length of each tangent? Please include the method as well.

Let OA be the radius, AP and BP are the tangents.

Given angle APB=60°

Angle APO = 30°

In triangle OAP,

tan30 = OA/AP

 1/√(3)=7/AP

AP= 7*sqrt(3)

 = 7*1.732

= 12.124 cm
