If two thirds of a rational number exceeds its three fifths by 7/4 find the rational number

If x = number,

3/5x - 2/7x = 44

therefore,21/35x - 10/35x = 44 (on taking LCM)

therefore, 11/35x = 44

so, x = 35(44)/11

=35(4)

=140 is the answer
