Solution: Centroid Formula is

→ (x₁ + x₂ + x₃)/3 = x, (y₁ + y₂ + y₃)/3 = y

  • x₁ = 6
  • x₂ = - 1
  • x₃ = x (let's say)
  • x = 1
  • y₁ = 3
  • y₂ = 7
  • y₃ = y (let's say)
  • y = 5

→ (6 - 1 + x)/3 = 1, (3 + 7 + y)/3 = 5

→ 5 + x = 3, 10 + y = 15

→ x = - 2, y = 5

Coordinates of third vertice are (- 2, 5)

Answer:

(-2,5)

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for x coordinate of centroid = (x1+x2+x3)/3

The formula for y coordinate of centroid = (y1+y2+y3) /3

X1=6

X2=-1

X3=?

Y1=3

Y2=7

Y3=?

Centroid = (1,5)

X coordinate = (6-1+x3)/3=1

=5+x3=3

=x3= - 2

Y coordinate = (3+7+y3)/3=5

= 10+y3= 15

=y3 = 5
