GIVEN :-

Initial velocity(u) = 0 m/s

Final velocity(v) = 20 m/s

Time(t) = 20 secs

TO FIND :-

The acceleration(a) and the displacement(s).

SOLUTION :-

We know,

v = u + at

⇒20 = 0 + a(20)

⇒20 = 20a

⇒a = 20/20

⇒a = 1 m/s²

We also know that,

v² = u² + 2as

⇒(20)² = (0)² + 2 × 1 × s

⇒400 = 2s

⇒s = 400/2

⇒s = 200 m

SOMETHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • v = u + at
  • v² = u² + 2as
  • s = ut + 1/2at²

Given

\bold{Initial \ velocity}(u) = 0 m/s \\\bold{Final \ velocity}(v) = 20 m/s \\\bold{Time}(t) = 20 secs

a) Acceleration = ?

v = u + at\\ \implies 20 = 0 + a(20)\\ \implies 20 = 20a\\\\ \implies a = \dfrac{20}{20} \\ \implies \boxed{\boxed{\bold{a = 1 m/s^{2} }}}}}

b) Displacement = ?

v^{2}  = u^{2}  + 2as \\ \implies (20)^{2}  = (0)^{2} + 2 * 1 * s \\ \implies 400 = 2s\\\\ \implies s = \dfrac{400}{2}\\\\ \implies \boxed{\boxed{\bold{s = 200 m}}}}}
