If U={1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10} and A ={1,3,4,6} and B ={1,2,4,9} then find (AUB)c.

  • A={1,3,4,6}
  • B={1,2,4,9}

To find:

  • (A U B)

Solution:

The union of two sets is the set containing only the elements of both the sets. You can consider it as the addition of two sets.

To find union of A and B, we have to make a set containing all the elements of A and B.

→ (A U B) = {1, 3, 4, 6, 1, 2, 4, 9}

Since any element in the set can't be repeated, so:

→ (A U B) = {1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9}

Hence this is the required union of set A and B.
