Initial velocity , u = 10 m/s

Final velocity , v = 2 m/s

Distance , s = 100 m

Time , t = ? sec

Acceleration is defined as " The rate of change of velocity "

⇒ a = (v-u)/t

From 3rd equation of motion ,

v²-u²=2as

⇒ 2² - 10² = 2((2-10)/t)(100)

⇒ 4 - 100 = -1600 / t

⇒ -96 = -1600 / t

⇒ t = 16.67 seconds

So the Time of travel is 16.67 seconds
