As we know that, v=u+at
=> 0 = 12 + (-3*t)
=> -12 = -3t
=> t = -12/-3 =4 seconds
Now, displacement between t=2s & t=5s
i.e, for a total tine of 3 seconds , we can use
v²-u²=2as , where s us the displacement that we want to calculate
=> 0² - 12² = 2*(-3)*s
=> -144 = -6s
=> s = -144/-6
=> s = 24 metres
