This is simple algebra. I fail to fathom where one might encounter a difficulty. Yet , even so ,the answer is the following .
20=u+5×2
which implies 20=u+10
which implies 20-10 = u
u =10 m/s .
Also in the question itself the unit of acceleration is wrong. It should have been metre per second square.
